Matt McCleskey got his start in radio as an intern at public radio station KQED in San Francisco. Over the next few years, he went on to fill a number of on-air and behind-the-scenes roles at the station while also earning a degree from the Graduate School of Journalism at the University of California, Berkeley. In 2002 he moved from San Francisco to Washington, DC, where he now works as a freelance producer and reporter. He recently completed a 30-minute documentary on rodeos for the public radio program Soundprint.
