The Stanley Foundation is a private operating foundation working toward a secure peace with freedom and justice. The foundation pursues this mission through diverse programs that are intended to provoke thought and encourage dialogue on international relations and world affairs.
Since 1980 the Stanley Foundation has produced Common Ground, radio's weekly program on world affairs. Over 150 stations carry the program each week. Common Ground co-hosts Keith Porter and Kristin McHugh contributed segments to "Children of War."
"Children of War" is the foundation's fourth major radio documentary. The Russia Project, released in December 2001, examined life ten years after the collapse of the Soviet Union. The foundation released the Iran Project in January 2001 to coincide with the 20th anniversary of the release of American hostages from Iran.
In spring 2000, the Stanley Foundation partnered with American RadioWorks™ to produce the two-hour radio documentary "Revisiting Vietnam." The foundation plans to produce additional special radio and Web projects on international affairs.
